What is the difference between teams and groups?

The difference between teams and groups are as follows: Teams are two or more sets equal numbered sides of players. For instance, a captain could setup two teams of eight and save. They would then use these two teams to setup pairings for different tournaments such as Ryder Cups. Groups are used when you want to setup a competition of a subset of all the golfers on a trip. For instance, you are on a 16 player trip and you want to setup a low gross competition for seven of the golfers separate from all other golfers. Create a group, select the seven players participating, and setup a tournament using the new group you have created. That tournament will now be scored exclusively for the seven group members.
